The Knaughty Look
{Pants: French Connection, Shoes: Value Village, Belt: Riot, Shirt: Bryans, Scarf: Gift}
Ah, the magic of scarf fashion! I never knew there were SO many ways to tie a scarf until my mom kindly lent me 'The Knaughty Look' by Lorraine Hammett. Its full of step by step instructions and diagrams for how to tie scarves, and it comes with its own stand! Needless to say it's pretty amazing, and I will single-handedly keep the magic of scarf fashion alive if I have to.....but you can help too. This square knot look is easy so give it a try!

Belt it: Volume 3
{Skirt, Shoes, Belt: Value Village, Tank-top: Suzy Sheer, Cardigan: Zellers, Necklace: Urban Outfitters}
It is really starting to look like spring in Vancouver. I wake up and hear birds chirping, the sun is shining, and Its been easier and easier to get myself out of bed. Then I put on something like this and go outside only to find that its still freezing! STOP TEASING ME! I just want to wear open-toed shoes and have bare legs again....is that so much to ask?
I'm trying to break out some spring and summer clothes while its still winter, plus I'm sure wearing floral prints just encourages the flowers right?

Belt it: Volume 2
{Pants: Value Village, Shirt: Joe Fresh, Blazer: Salvation Army, Belt & Bag: Value Village}
So here is the second edition: wearing belts at work. This outfit is really simple and comfortable, and I wear it to work often. I usually pair it with different blazer but another way to change it up is to wear a bright belt underneath. This one adds a much needed pop of colour. I picked it up at VV last weekend, and its now my new favorite! Its a cheerful addition to an otherwise pretty blah ensemble....but work clothes don't have to be boring right?
PS: Can you believe this sunshine Vancouver?

Belt it: Volume 1
{Jeans: Zara, Sweater Cape: Zellers, Tunic: American Apparel, Shoes & Belt: ValueVillage, Bag: H&M}
In an effort to make up for lost time on the blog, this week is belt week! I can tell you're as excited as I am, I know, belts are amazing.
I own about 20 belts, most of them picked up at thrift stores and bargain bins. Belts are a really easy was to accessorize an outfit, whether its for work or for weekend. This week I have incorporated waist belts into all of my outfits in different ways, to show how versatile they can be.
For a lazy Sunday look I threw on my favorite jeans with a baggy sweater cape and my AA tunic. Without the belt the outfit is no different, but the metallic detail adds some visual interest and also pairs well with the silver shoes.
You can get belts for under $5 in most thrift stores, try bright colours or metallics and start belting!
