Mexico Madness
As you may have noticed, I'm playing catch up with my blog. Here are some shots from my trip to Sayulita, Mexico with Sam in December. These are my 9 favorite pictures out of well over 100, the rest of which are un-edited and on Facebook for your viewing pleasure.
These were taken with my little Canon PowerShot A2200. Then with a little Photoshop enhancing, voila! - high quality snapshots of a killer good time. Props to Sam for making me look so good :P

Winter Sunshine
As most of you know, I recently moved back to East Van, Commercial Drive to be specific. I missed this neighborhood dearly while I was living in Burnaby Heights, it's really good to feel at home again.
I'm especially excited for the spring/summer months; I have plans for a pretty sweet balcony veggie & herb garden and hopefully many afternoons spent on outdoor patios.
In the mean time, the occasional bursts of winter sunshine will have to do. Here are some shots I took on a sunny day in December, exploring my "new" neighborhood.

Girly Girl
{Blouse: Banana Republic - Thrifted - Valu Village, Skirt: Zellers, Pink Flats: Stitches, Black Flats: Thrifted- Value Village, Black Jacket: FCUK, Green Jacket: Thrifted - Slavation Army, Necklace: Christmas Gift from Sam!}
I know, I know, its been a LONG time since my last post. December kind of took over my life, much like it does with most people. Between going on holiday, festive parties, and endless amounts of rain, I didn't seem to have much time for blogging. BUT its January, and of coarse working on my blog is one of many new years resolutions, and I hope I can stick to it.
Many of my female friends tend to shy away from being overly "girly" which translates into rejecting the colour pink. Personally, I love wearing pink, not only because it looks good on my already pinkish complexion, but also because I like feeling feminine! My two favorite ways to wear pink are:
-Pair it with black for a more dramatic statement; it's girly yet powerfull.
-Pair it with green, an excellent complement to most pink tones.
I also think when wearing more feminine clothes the trick is to not overdo it. I find pairing a flowy or frilly item with a more structured item usually works best. Especially when pairing two girly items together (such as my ruffled pink top and lavender pencil skirt).
Happy New Year, I challenge you all to embrace being the "girly girl" from time to time!
