Modern Art & Waffles
{Dress: Thrifted @ Mintage, Boots: Joneve}
WAFFLES! This morning was awesome cause my man made me waffles, and they were delicious! Overall this weekend was pretty awesome, I got to take in a lot of culture and it was surprisingly nice outside! First Sam and I went to 1000 Parker to check out the studios open for the culture crawl on Friday night, then on Saturday I went with my mom and her friend Maureen to wander around Strathcona and do more 'crawling'. I also happened to find this amazing modern art dress at Mintage on Commercial Drive. It's neat and reminds me of a Picasso exhibit I saw with my girlfriends in Barcelona last spring. On Sunday night I got to go and see Ronnie Burkett! It was amazing and inspiring as always, thanks to mom for the ticket! It's not over yet....now we are off to Value Village for the %50 off sale! I'm all smiles today :D

Sunflower Silhouette
{dress: thrifted, tights: HUE, loafers: thrifted, scarf: made by me. earrings: gift from paris}
Today is TV day! Sam and I are bringing in a comically large TV (I've never had a BIG screen TV before so this is new to me). Its going to be 42 inches of viewing pleasure! I thought I'd take this opportunity to pose with my lovely TV stand, which in actuality is an old kitchen cupboard I got for free off Cragislist - cute right?
It clearly wasn't the best lighting for this shoot, but I got some eerie effects so I'm posting it anyways. I'm trying to cheer the world up with my sunflower outfit today - how am I doing?

Pouring Sunshine
{skirt: thrifted, shirt: Tommy Hilfiger - thrifted, skarf: made by me, earrings: gift, boots: thrifted}
Typical to Vancouver, the weather today was changing by the minute. I thought it would rain all day but I was lucky to catch this burst of sunlight on my balcony. Hopefully the rain will stop soon so I can actually wear this outfit somewhere, but for now I'm stuck indoors eating multiple bowls of cereal and reading a good book, so its not so bad.
